Story

Hello,

I would be honored if you would carry my daughter's picture with you again on your race.

Gabriella Thompson  was diagnosed with hepablastoma on June 1st, 2012 at 2 years old. She has received all standard chemo and then non standard chemo, trial drug and had 3 surgeries over the course of 2 1/2 years.  In 2013 we had a three month period where we thought we were in the clear but it came back. The chemo would work for a bit and then stop. Her tumor was chemo resistant. We got the worst possible news on Dec. 2, 2014 that there was nothing left they could do, her liver was failing and anything we could do would be more toxic to her.  She became an angel on Dec. 20, 2014 (at 4 1/2 years old)  and she was surrounded by her loving family.

She was such a strong, brave, sweet baby girl through out all of this.  She just let the nursers and doctors do what they needed to do. She just went with it. It was part of her and her twin sister life to go to the doctors and hospital all the time. They would play doctor all the time. She always smiled through all of this and would even tell me it will be okay she will be fine. She has such strength and never let it stop her from playing. She was a typical little girl that loved life and just wanted to have fun. We did have a lot of fun. She was a true gift and I will always miss her and love her.

Thank You,

Kristin Thompson
