I am from South Africa.

My son Johan Matthee was diagnosed with glioblastoma on 30 May 2019 when he was just 16.

 

Exactly 14 months later, 5Aug2020, on my birthday...we lost him.

He was brave. He never complained, always wanted to know if I am ok?

He visited other kids in ICU with brain cancer as if nothing is wrong with him.

His faith in God was contagious and such an inspiration.

On the 4th of March he would have turned 19 

I miss him EVERYDAY...and I feel the world has forgotten about him.

 He died in my arms at home...I saw his last breath leave his body...

If you will consider him to remember I would love mile 16 or 17
