Abri was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma in her left tibia when she was just 7 years old. She went through 17 rounds of brutal chemotherapy that lasted a year, was put in a wheelchair and missed out on all of 2nd grade. She had a limb salvage surgery to remove the tumor and most of her tibia which was replaced with a caver bone. At age 8, the limb salvage failed and Abri fought to amputate rather than go through another attempt at salvaging what was left of her leg. She wanted her life back and wanted to run, jump, dance and just be a kid. At age 9, Abri had her amputation. She is now 11-years-old and 3.5 years NED! She is dancing 5 dance classes per week, hiking, running, wake boarding and most importantly just being a kid.
