Dale was diagnosed with high risk t-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on April 16, 2008 at 11 years old. He went through 3 1/2 years of chemotherapy, radiation and dealt with numerous side effects. He was off treatment for 2 years. Dale played the trumpet in the high school marching band, was a Boy Scout and became an Eagle Scout, had a sarcastic sense of humor, enjoyed hanging out with friends, and loved life. Unfortunately on November 29, 2013 Dale relapsed with the exact same type of cancer. He left that day and didn’t come home for 8 months. Dale had a bone marrow transplant on March 13, 2014 from an unrelated donor (Whom we have since met-so thankful for her!) He dealt with many side effects and eventually ended up intubated, on dialysis, plasmapheresis, several types of GVHD and had on-going issues. Dale passed away July 26, 2014. We miss him every day.
