Taliyah (or Teela as she prefers her nickname these days) was diagnosed with Stage 3 Group 3 Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma one week after her 7th birthday. She endured a year of treatment which include chemotherapy and radiation. After treatment was over she spent almost 2 full years going through additional treatments because of the damage done to her little body. She still has some learning delays but you would never know it if you met her. She’s a cheerleader on her high school team and a straight A student. In just a couple of months she will be an 8 year survivor. 

We were lucky enough to meet Tattoo Tom in 2015 after he finished the Tahoe 200. He’s a super hero in our eyes and she let him know by doing a cheer for him. We are so honored to have her “run” with him again.
