Childhood Cancer Survivors United

The Adult Childhood Cancer Survivors

“We are here, we are here, we are here.”
We are the survivors who have beaten childhood cancer yet suffer from lasting long term effects of treatment. We are doctors, nurses, teachers, musicians, homemakers, disabled, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters; the survivors who are living one day, one moment at a time.

We were the bald child who tried to smile through the pain, we were the teen who felt guilty when our friends didn’t make it but we did, we were the ones asking doctors why our bodies were giving out when others were starting families. We are the forgotten. The ones who have beaten childhood cancer but still fight. Yet, we will not go silently in that good night. We rage. As one voice, so no child has to go through what we do. We fight for better treatment.
