Story

On July 30, 2020, Ethan, who just turned twelve, was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. When he was told by the doctors that he had cancer this is what he said after all the tears were wiped away.
“I AM GOING TO DO WHAT I CAN TO FIGHT THIS.”
-Ethan.

He began treatment right away and was fighting a courageous battle each and every day. During his fight, he attended online school and was even accepted into the Junior National Honor Society at his middle school. After five months of chemotherapy, the cancer had other plans and began to spread. Ethan’s fight turned into a war. The lymphoma became too much for him to bear and on March 25, 2021, Ethan sadly passed away. In his final months, Ethan was able to help and inspire others. One way in which he inspired others was by making sure that everyone knew about the CaringBand that he had received. He wore his CaringBand each and every day and received thousands of messages of love and support. To this day, even after his passing, Ethan is making an impact on everyone who hears his story. Ethan was a huge fan of Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” and he chose the name “Ethans Ohana” for his CaringBand name. Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. Ethan will never be forgotten.

Thanks for your love and support and good luck on the race.
